Click here for a detailed topo map of our area

The maps below are what I use on the perimeter walk.  The post numbers are on 4 feet tall 4X4 wooden posts. The posts demarcate the boundary between the greenbelt and lot owner's property. Clicking on the greenbelt image below will take you to a higher resolution image of that area. You can also click on the highlighted text to see the worksheet's corresponding aerial image.  If you are interested in seeing an even higher resolution image simply click on the area of interest in the image.

We own a wetland that is surrounded by lots on Tipsico Lake Road and Parkway.  Aerial image of wetland Posts 301 to 307

Post number 1 is at the water's edge.  Some of the posts are on the steep hillside, and there are some additional posts between 3 and 4.  Between posts 11 and 14 the greenbelt goes up to the road. There are steps from the lake leading up to this area. Corresponding aerial image up to post 14
  1 to 15

Aerial image from post 11 to post 16.5
Note the big jump in numbers from posts 17 to 33. This is because we own a really cool area that goes between lots that goes out to Dunham Road.  There isn't a developed trail here, but it is passable. Please do not step on the trilliums.
  15 to 38

  35 to 45

We are now just north of west beach.  The hillside here is steep. Corresponding aerial image for between posts 44 and 50.

45 to 57

Corresponding aerial image for posts 50 to 61.  This includes west beach and the northwest part of the lagoon area. This is an area has some major invasive plant issues, including asian bittersweet, norway maple, moneyplant and a recent history of purple loosestrife.  It also has some great potential.

  58 to 76

Corresponding aerial image for posts 61 to 76.  This area is the south and west part of the lagoon. Cedars were transplanted here in 1999 and are doing well. Glossy buckthorn was pretty much wiped out in 2005.  Russian olives were planted here in the 70s are now slowly being removed.  You can find some nice swamp milkweed and dogwood here.

Aerial image of area near posts 76 and 77.  This area has lots of asian bittersweet.

The posts between 87 and 93 are the East Beach area.

Between posts 93 and 99 we are heading north up the Oakland side. The numbers in the lake are the gps coordinates for points along the shoreline.  This is using the military grid reference system. Aerial image.

Posts 99 to 102.  Lots of white cedar along the shoreline.  Fairly steep hillside.  Seed bearing glossy buckthorn removed 2006. Corresponding aerial image.

102 to 109 continues to have a shoreline covered in white cedar.
